Methods Consulting welcomes a new addition to the Healthcare team
We are pleased to announce Karen Ma has recently joined Methods Consulting as Head of Clinical Integration.
Karen joins us from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust - the UK's largest NHS Trust and first Academic Health Sciences Centre. Whilst at Imperial (and formerly Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust), Karen had a diverse set of responsibilities, including IS Strategy and architecture development and implementation, with a particular focus on convergence of National Programme solutions with locally procured systems. She also was involved in Information Governance, Business Case Development and Procurement.
Prior to working in Healthcare, Karen enjoyed an extensive career in the private sector, working across a diverse set of industries including utilities, travel and telecoms, for both UK-based and global firms.
For Methods, Karen's main responsibility will be to develop the recently established Clinical Integration practice, extending Methods' strong healthcare presence into more clinical areas. Karen will be working with clients to address the key information challenges facing the NHS today, which includes the use of NPfIT / LSP provided systems with existing legacy systems, integration across the Acute and Primary Care settings, and the translation of Darzi's recommendations into reality. Karen is particularly interested in the use of ASCC and other framework agreements to help Trusts realise workable and pragmatic solutions to current issues.
