DWP CIPHER Framework Goes Live
Methods Consulting has been successful in the re-tender of the CIPHER Consultancy Frameworks, in the Strategic Finance and Operational Finance lots. Methods is pleased to continue this association, having been a supplier to DWP and the DSS since the early 1990’s, and having provided client side support on a wide range of their large scale programmes.
DWP continues to develop some of the largest and most complex programmes in the UK public sector, and in time of rising unemployment and difficult economic circumstances has to respond to a much larger range of individuals and families requiring assistance. DWP has as much contact with the public as the NHS: pensions, child support, income support, tax credits and unemployment benefit are all core to the Department’s role. DWP’s large range of links with other departments grows through supporting children and their needs, supplying young people with better training and education, and providing adults with better support information about entitlements in addition to help to find employment in a very difficult labour market. In all the government’s Work and Pensions remit is a substantial challenge and needs a wide range of help and support from a variety of sources.
We look forward to being able to help the Department continue its ongoing development and improvement in delivery of public services, and to assist in obtaining better value for money in its overall way of working. With a budget of £100Billion per annum it represents the second largest spending department after the Department of Health and NHS.
