Interview with Imogen Reynolds
Imogen Reynolds is the Operations Manager and works across both business divisions at Methods.
What did you do before joining Methods?
When I first graduated I worked as an administrator for the Risk Management department at Barclays. I then went to New Zealand for a year, and worked as a marketing officer for a children’s charity.
What attracted you to the company?
Despite a six hour interview, with eight different people, they all seemed sensible and approachable, plus it sounded like a great opportunity to understand the company from the bottom up. I also liked the quirky townhouse in King Street, Covent Garden, where our previous office was located right in the centre of London.
What types of projects do you work on?
I work mainly on the implementation of Methods’ operational strategy and internal process improvement. Recently I’ve contributed to the implementation of Office 365 and SharePoint projects, which have led to improvements in the way people work and collaborate together. I’m also working on our new personal development plans, which will ensure that the strategic objectives of the business are tied into people’s individual goals. Other than that, I’m also overseeing the replacement of our CRM tool and our conversion to an electronic HR system.
What makes you good at your job?
I have a good understanding of the breadth of business gained over an interesting and varied time for the company in the last eight years. This comes from having done so many different roles within the company working across many clients in the public and private sectors. I really understand our clients, and I’m thorough and detailed which is an essential part of the Operations role.
