We are able to offer independent expertise to healthcare organisations, in primary, secondary, and tertiary care. We are one of a small number of organisations specifically approved to be able to store, manage and use NHS data sets to deliver specialist insight into clinical outcomes.
Our mix of clinical and informatics experts across a wide range of disciplines includes current clinical practitioners, as well as a significant number of ex-NHS staff with specialist expertise in clinical and patient data.
COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of the ability to share data across clinical boundaries, and in particular being able to track and facilitate patients from acute care into social care. NHS Jobs – a 17 year success story
Methods designed and delivered the most innovative scaled digital public service platform ever implemented in UK government. Starting in 2003, we partnered with Jobsite to deliver a single platform e-recruitment service to 650 NHS Trusts that were culturally used to doing recruitment locally themselves. We agreed to drive takeup of the NHS Jobs platform, mounting a huge cultural change roadshow where we highlighted the functionality provided by the new platform to a significant number of NHS offices around the country and that resulted in the service we have today. During the 15 years Methods has run the service, we have saved the NHS in excess of £3bn, and completely changed the way recruitment is done in the NHS.
RPA for NHS Shared Business Services
Process backlogs, customer complaints, staffing issues and underperforming technology using an unsuitable RPA ‘bot’ choice. Methods undertook a detailed analysis in support of the transformation business case to enable a programme of continuous improvement. Establishing a Process Centre of Excellence, streamlining of processes and improved use of RPA bots and other advanced technologies; and transforming the architectural plumbing of systems to enable advanced technology, such as intelligent RPA bots in order to optimise process automation.
Medical Examiners Service: Alpha and Beta
Existing arrangements for death certification were confusing, provide inadequate safeguards, and there is no mechanism that allows the NHS to see patterns, take action, and learn from them. Building upon the fledgling NHS design standards, Methods created innovative solutions to meet user needs across a case management system that has facilitated the roll-out of Medical Examiners across the country.
