Standard Life needed support from Methods for a substantial change programme in the run up to its demutualisation. This process would convert the policyholder ownership of the company to a stock company.

Solution

Methods was engaged to programme manage the work, successfully defining and quantifying the projects portfolio before establishing appropriate governance to manage existing and new projects. Much of our efforts were focused on rectifying the critical risk flagged around the Finance Systems team, which had witnessed rapid growth in a short space of time and was operating without adequate processes.

Result

We were able to mitigate significant risk by helping to put in place appropriate processes and systems. The work was a success, with Methods being engaged throughout the duration of the programme.
