Cardiff Council’s vision is to be recognised as a high-performing service provider for its citizens. To make better use of its skills and assets, it called on Methods to source high quality interims to deliver a range of consultancy services.

Solution

Methods is currently working with Cardiff to help the organisation realise this vision and achieve savings of over £18 million over three years. We have provided Cardiff with a range of interim consultants across its transformational change programme, covering areas such as programme management, business analysis and procurement.

Results

Methods assisted Cardiff in achieving savings of over £3 million in the first year. In the first wave of this transformation programme, our consultants delivered a knowledge transfer and mentoring scheme to employees and were heavily involved in supporting the benefits realisation programme. In total, Methods has delivered 80% of the programme’s external interim requirements to date.

Statement

We are delighted to have provided 80% of all Cardiff’s external interim support for this programme. The council is on target to achieve its goal of £18 million savings by 2015.
