We provide multidisciplinary, managed services
Whether whole or blended, we work with you to deliver user-centred outcomes
Methods is able to rapidly assemble delivery teams
Comprising our permanent staff, contractors, or a blend of the two, with the innate ability to be flexible, responsive, and adaptive. Our Agile teams can scale and work together, understand each others’ roles, immerse themselves in insight and ensure traceability of tasks back to user needs.
We recognise that skills may change throughout the duration of projects – and we stay on top of the changes required to our skill mix throughout an engagement to ensure we can transition seamlessly through delivery, always maintaining momentum.
We can accelerate and augment existing programmes or embed new ways of working and operating to create the foundations for a successful future
Our access to a wide range of capabilities allows us to create bespoke solutions for unique problems, understanding that every context is different, and cookie-cutter me-too solutions are not always the answer.

How can we help?
Our experts have reputations for delivery, approachability, and collaboration, whilst remaining professionally challenging and always seeking improvement through design thinking. Their breadth of experience across professions and depth of knowledge within their own specialist areas (T-shaped skills) help them work collaboratively within all teams and with stakeholders alike, upskilling and transferring knowledge along the way.
Regardless of whether we’re providing entire or blended teams, working to fixed price and outcomes or on a time and materials basis, sharing insights, findings and developments ensure stakeholders are kept informed at all times for responsive decision making.
We are able to provide managed teams to fill all roles listed in the Digital, Data and Technology Profession Capability Framework.
Some of our previous work
Making data accessible to everyone
Methods’ multidisciplinary team, including user researchers and developers, co-located with the existing Cabinet Office team of civil servants. The result of this was a truly joined-up approach – engaging with key stakeholders and saving time, up-skilling and ensuring that the Cabinet Office team were left in a sustainable position.
Methods’ approach focused on user needs, iterative development and agile/scrum techniques. This meant that our ongoing user-centred testing, learning, and iteration informed the backlog from which work was developed, ultimately creating a process where data could be collected, analysed and published to the Ethnicity Facts and Figures, GDS-compliant website. The service is recognised as an ‘exemplar’ by industry experts.
Helping the education and skills sector get paid
The yearly allocation of funding process was duplicated and complex. Methods deployed a team that worked closely with key stakeholders to understand user needs through one-to-ones, workshops, and focus groups. Methods implemented standard procedures and digital tools to the design, build and test allocation calculations. This delivers the same level of assurance, but more efficiently. The process went from complex funding calculations to a live service that now processes £40bn annually of Education budget. It was heralded as having “transformed the core funding business”.
University of Nottingham
The University of Nottingham, with 45,000 students across the world and £100million plus in research grants, turned to CoreAzure, a Methods Group company, to build their Azure platform and migrate workloads from the legacy to the new environment.
CoreAzure worked as a team with a group of universities and Microsoft to jointly develop a common proposition that would streamline and simplify the Windows Virtual Desktop deployment and rollout.
